RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A local hobby shop is turning the inherent fun of games into a tool for community building.
Twin Dragon Games, a store that encourages people to enjoy the hobby of trading card games and board games, is aiming to foster a space for fostering relationships and building friendships.
Owners Christine and Dan Padilla joined us on Thursday, Feb. 8 to explain. They highlighted the store's role in organizing teaching events, tournaments and leagues, all while making gaming accessible to everyone with weekly events for games such as Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokémon and more.
A major part of that accessibility and community, according to Christine, is the fact that Twin Dragon Games facilitates card trading that takes place in their store, to allow parents the security of knowing their children will not be taken advantage of when participating.
More information about Twin Dragon Games can be found by visiting them on Facebook.
