Racine Woman Facing Charges After Stabbing Boyfriend
RACINE - A 33-year-old Racine woman is facing multiple charges after stabbing her boyfriend.
According to the criminal complaint, the Racine Police Department responded to an apartment near 10th and Washington for a report of a man who had been stabbed by his girlfriend.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with Megin Jorgensen who had blood on her hands and wrists. Police located a folding knife on her that appeared to have dried blood on the handle and blade.
According to the criminal complaint, officers interviewed the victim who had cuts and scratches to the face, neck, and back. There was also blood and a stab wound on his left hip. The victim stated that he and the suspect stayed together, got into an argument, and that she slapped him in the face three times. According to the victim, he tried to leave the apartment and as he was walking out the door he was stabbed.
Jorgensen now faces charges of Disorderly Conduct, Battery, and 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety. Her Preliminary Hearing is set for April 6th.
