Racine Woman Awoken to Man with Gun Pointed at Her in Bed

A Racine woman awoke early Saturday morning to a man pointing a gun at her while she was in bed and demanding money, according to a criminal complaint.

The suspect was identified as an 18-year-old male with a red and black hooded sweater wearing blue jeans.

The hooded sweater was pulled tightly around his head to conceal his face, but she recognized him as a neighbor.

Upon realizing who the suspect was she called him by name and told him she had no money.

He replied that she should be glad it was only him and not the other girl who had sent him in the first place.

He led her towards various dresser drawers looking for money.

After finding no money, the suspect quickly left the house.

Police went to the suspect’s mother’s house who insisted she had been up most of the night and knew he was in the residence.

However, the suspect was wearing tennis shoes and the outfit described by the victim.

Police learned the victim had an arrest warrant with the Oconomowoc Police Department, and she said she believed the suspect had taken $910 out of her purse.

Tevin Cagle was charged with Burglary While Armed and Battery to a Law Enforcement Officer.

While in custody, Cagle swore obscenities at officers and said he planned on having sex with one of the officer’s wives.
