MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. (CBS 58) – A 36-year-old mother was arrested early Friday morning for driving while intoxicated with her 5-year-old daughter in the car.
Mount Pleasant Police say officers conducted a traffic stop near Ole Davidson Rd. and CTH MM around 1:42 a.m. for a car that was swerving across the road.
During the stop, officers determined Joyce Gandy was impaired with alcohol after failing a sobriety test. Authorities say Gandy’s 5-year-old daughter was in the car.
Gandy was arrested in 2007 for an OWI and was out on bail for a battery charge.
On Friday, she was arrested for OWI 1st offense with a child under 16, two counts of bail jumping and deviation from designated lane of traffic.
Charges are pending.
