Racine Unified School District suing e-cigarette companies

RACINE, (CBS 58) -- The Racine Unified School District is suing several electronic cigarette companies.

The school district alleges the company designed, marketed and sold e-cigarette products while downplaying health risks like nicotine addiction.

They say the companies had a special focus on marketing the products to kids.

The district says this created a public health crisis for Racine students, and that a large number of them are now using those products and have become addicted to nicotine.
