RACINE (CBS 58) -- Quite the surprise for a restaurant in Racine tonight, on March 31.
Laotian restaurant SapSap has been given $5,000 cash, no strings attached.
"Alright there's 2, there's 3...these are really crisp. There's 4, there's 5,6,7,8,9. There's another thousand.
You might remember the Racine Venmo challenge.
Stan Anderson started it in the early days of the pandemic, encouraging people to donate money to struggling restaurants.
His goal? $100,000 in donations.
Tonight, on March 31, he hit that goal where he presented the cash to the SapSap crew.
