Racine & Me: Wine Walk & Candy Hop
RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- Kelly Kruse, Executive Director of Downtown Racine Corporation joined us virtually to talk about a fun event for the kids, and one for the adults too.
The Downtown Racine Corporation will be hosting Wine Walks on May 6 and 13, 2023 from 1pm-6pm. Enjoy the change of seasons in beautiful downtown by sampling 20 delicious wines along with 10 beer samples poured at 30 participating businesses.
Tickets for the event are $40 each and will include admission to the Wine Walk’s 30 stops, wine sampling glass, a canvas tote-bag and snacks at each location.

Proceeds of this event benefit the Downtown Racine Corporation, a non-profit whose mission is to foster economic, social, and cultural diversity by stimulating business development, programming events, and marketing downtown to the community, developers, and tourists. The goal of the event is to ultimately grow foot traffic on the sidewalks of downtown Racine and get people in the doors of our awesome local businesses.

Mark your calendars for Sat., Apr. 22 from 12pm-2pm for Downtown Racine’s 3rd annual Candy Hop and Scavenger Hunt. Bring the family for a day of free candy giveaways and a fun scavenger hunt for kids of all ages to enjoy. Over 25 participating businesses will pass out candy and welcome participants to their shops and restaurants.
Free face painting and free bags that you can use to fill with candy and Candy Hop maps will be available at the Downtown Racine Corp. office (425 Main St). Kids will also have the opportunity to participate in a self-guided candy themed scavenger hunt. Those who return their completed map to the DRC office will be entered to win one of three kid's prize packs. Maps must be returned to the DRC office by 4pm on Apr. 23.
