RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- The holiday season is a busy time for everyone and that includes the Wisconsin Humane Society. We have a bunch of things coming up at the end of 2025 and we’d love you to join us! Vaccine clinics – Thursday 12/4 & 12/18, 10am-1pm · Low-cost, open to the public. Rabies and other core vaccines just $16. Add-ons like flea & tick preventives or microchipping are available. You can use this service whether or not your pet came from WHS.
Manners & puppy classes – 6-week courses starting Thursday 12/4 · Positive reinforcement, reward-based training. Great for bonding with your pet and learning how they communicate. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, and you do need to pre-register.
Furry Tales Story Time – Wednesday 12/10, 10:30am · For children ages 2-4. Each session features an animal-related book followed by an opportunity to meet one of our adorable, adoptable animals. No fee to attend. Kids Night Out – Friday 12/12, 5pm-7pm
Super fun night. Kids in grades 1 through 6 get to make new friends, do crafts, meet some animals and guardians get to enjoy a couple hours to themselves. Space is limited so make sure to get your tickets asap. Girl Scout Night – Tuesday 12/16 & Wednesday 12/17, 5:30-6:30pm · Girl Scouts in K5 through 12th grade spend an evening learning about animals and working toward a journey or badge. Interact with animals, make a craft to benefit our residents, and learn how to stay safe around pets. $15 per child and we can accommodate up to 24 scouts. Please register ahead of time. Bow Wow Blizzard Camp – Monday 12/29, 9am-3pm · One-day winter camp for kids in 1st through 6th grade. Learn about WHS and ways to help all kinds of critters. There are crafts, games, a shelter tour, and a chance to interact with some of our furry animal guests. $55 per camper.
