RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- Tyler Potter with the Racine Art Museum joined us to discuss Ram's 20th Anniversary and an upcoming free event for kids!
This year marks RAM’s twentieth anniversary in downtown Racine. Throughout 2023, RAM invites guests to discover inspiring exhibitions and programs that highlight the ways RAM has served its audiences, while promising an even brighter future with your continued support
RAM as an organization has a much longer history with its Charles A. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts campus, which opened in 1941. · Considerations of the past are inevitable when it comes to anniversaries. However, they also offer a meaningful opportunity to think about what comes next.
Last year was the first time RAM collaborated with another local organization (Black Arts Council of Racine) for its annual Community Art Show at RAM’s Wustum Museum.
This year, RAM is collaborating with Mahogany Gallery, inviting artists to consider the future in Futures Reimagined: RAM Community Art Show.
Scott Terry of Mahogany Gallery is inviting a selection of artists to participate in part of this show—a continuation of their Wisconsin Black Art & Culture Expo theme, Black Futures.
Educational programming—including the free, family friendly art-making event, Kids Day—throughout the summer will be inspired by the theme of Futures Reimagined.
