RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- The fourteenth edition of an untraditional, visitor-favorite show at RAM is happening soon! Tyler Potter from the Racine Art Museum joined us to discuss the 14th Annual International Peeps Art Exhibition.
Entrants continue to come up with unique ideas for the show even after 14 years.
While the COVID-19 pandemic has affected attendance in recent years, interest from creatives remained unwavering. Over 135 enthusiastic artists created art for the RAM 11th Annual International Peeps Art Exhibition in 2020, which was postponed for months beyond its usual Easter holiday opening due to pandemic shutdowns.
The 12th and 13th editions saw a meaningful increase in submissions, featuring creative artwork by 170 and 207 artists, respectively. · Visitors are invited to vote on their favorite piece throughout the run of the exhibition, which will be presented the coveted PEEPle’s Choice Award after the show closes.
This has been taken very seriously in the past, with some visitors making several rounds through the show before casting their ballot. · Entry is free and open to makers of all ages as long as the pieces fit within certain size guidelines and feature family friendly content.
Entries can be dropped off at RAM either March 17 or 18, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, or shipped to arrive to the museum no later than March 16. Entry form and additional information available at ramart.org.
