Racine & Me: Marci's on Main – 2nd Round brings country back to downtown Racine
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Country music fans have a new place to gather in downtown Racine as Marci's on Main – 2nd Round officially reopens its doors.
Owner Marci joined Racine & Me to discuss the return of the country-themed establishment, which aims to bring together live music, food, drinks and entertainment in a welcoming atmosphere.
Marci's on Main – 2nd Round embraces a strictly country theme, from the music playing throughout the venue to the décor that fills the space. Organizers say the goal is to create a home for country music lovers while adding new energy to downtown Racine.
The reopening celebration featured live music, special events and the return of the bar's popular Sing-Along Brunch. Guests also welcomed back one of the venue's signature offerings: Loaded Bloody Mary's.
The menu features several unique items, including the Honky-Tonk Spamwich, made with crispy fried Spam on Texas toast topped with cheese, onion petals, Cowboy Sauce and honey barbecue sauce.
Guests can also customize their meals through the restaurant's "Build Your Chow" option, choosing a base, protein, toppings and sauces to create their own combination. For those who prefer not to drink alcohol, the bar also offers a selection of specialty mocktails.
In addition to food and drinks, Marci's on Main hosts a variety of weekly events, including:
- Strictly Country Karaoke every Tuesday and Thursday
- Grit & Glitter Country Bingo on Wednesdays
- Country DJs every other Friday and on Saturdays
- Live music and special events throughout the year
Marci says community support has played a major role in the venue's return and that guests can continue to expect creative events and plenty of opportunities to gather, celebrate and enjoy country culture in the heart of Racine.
