RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- The Heritage Celebration Ball is coming up in Racine on February 17th.
Al Johnson is the Executive Director of the event and joined us in studio to discuss its importance in the community.
This year's theme is preserving the past, celebrating the present and embracing the future.
The event shines a spotlight on the unsung heroes in our community.
They hope it encourages, strengthens and supports the community involvement in and around Racine.
Racine Unified School District special program STAR will also be highlighted.
Finally, there will be a Martin Luther King Wreath laying ceremony too.
