Racine & Me, Dec. 3rd. 2016: Santa in  a Shoebox, BlankFest Wisconsin, Santa Does Exist, Junior League of Racine

On this Racine & Me, it’s time to get into the giving spirit!

Every segment shows a different way to give back to those in need this holiday season.

We'll tell you about Blank-Fest Wisconsin, which is an opportunity to enjoy some great music, have a good time and keep people in the community warm as the weather gets colder. It’s a concert where the donation is an unused blanket or donation, which will be given to the homeless.

Then, its a fashion show put on by the Junior League, but its not only a way to get some beautiful new clothes and shop local. Its also helping out children in the community.

And, Santa does exist. We know that-and the guys from Rapcine are here to tell us all about their community effort to raise money and bless others. It’s a donation program where a $20 donation buys you the ability to possibly win all of the money that’s collected. You then get to choose a family to bless with the money for Christmas.

And it’s the 8th year for the  Santa in a Shoebox program, started by Diana Higgenbottom. It’s provided gifts to thousands of families in need in southeastern Wisconsin. Here's a link to the Facebook page if you'd like to get involved: https://www.facebook.com/SantaInAShoebox/?fref=ts
