Racine County Sheriff's Office arrests 12 impaired drivers over the weekend

RACINE COUNTY (CBS 58) -- The Racine County Sheriff's Office is stepping up patrols from December 13-January 1, 2020.

Several departments across the state are participating in the holiday campaign, "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over". During this campaign, officers will patrol in greater numbers for longer hours.

The Racine County Sheriff's Office says in the first weekend of the campaign, deputies arrested 12 impaired drivers.

Authorities say not all of the drivers were impaired by alcohol, but also drugs including illegal substances and over the counter medicines.
