Racine County garage total loss after fire, no one hurt

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) – A two-car garage is a total loss after a fire broke out around 11:45 p.m. on Sunday in the Village of Grove.

According to the Racine County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred near 15th Ave. and Durand Ave. The caller reported seeing thick black smoke and flames coming from the detached garage.

Authorities say no one was hurt but the structure and its contents are a total loss. A motorcycle and a car were among some of the items inside the garage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage estimates are not known at this time.
