RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Health care workers in Racine got a big boost of support Friday night.
A NICU nurse at Ascension All Saints organized "Flashings First Friday" -- it's a way to thank hospital employees while maintaining social distancing.
Dozens of people showed up in their vehicles, and many made signs for those working inside.
Some emergency room nurses were able to come out and thank those showing their support.
"I've never experienced anything like this. This is...it's hard, but we have this moral support from our manager, the staff from each other, supporting each other...and just seeing what we have together in this community makes it all worthwhile and makes the job a blessing. Knowing that I can care for patients that care for us."
Those that couldn't come outside were able to watch from a hospital window.
