Pursuit for Illinois Homicide Suspect Ends in Dealership Parking Lot in Mukwonago
A homicide suspect from Illinois was involved in a pursuit through Waukesha County that ended at a car dealership on Thursday.
According to Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office, Walworth County Sheriff’s Office along with the Rockford Illinois Police Department were in pursuit of a silver Chrysler Crossfire and were traveling into Waukesha County.
One of the occupants in the vehicle is a suspect in a homicide that occurred in Illinois.
The vehicle entered Waukesha County at approximately 11:30 AM.
The vehicle contained two male occupants, which are described as a 26-year-old male and a 27-year-old male, both from Illinois.
The vehicle exited Hwy 83 in Mukwonago, traveled through Mukwonago and subsequently ended up in the Amato Ford parking lot at 1015 Main Street in Mukwonago.
The driver of the vehicle fled into the dealership and was taken into custody a short time later. The passenger of the vehicle stayed in the vehicle and was taken into custody.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department will be charging the operator with eluding as well as other traffic related offenses.
Both subjects have been turned over to Walworth County Sheriff’s Office for other charges.
No one was injured as a result of this incident. This is currently an ongoing investigation and no other information is available at this time.
