Purple lights color Fox Point area in memory of Nicolet High School student killed in car crash

FOX POINT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Fox Point was lit purple to honor a 16-year-old boy who died after a car crash in early October.

Grant Freeze was on his way to swim practice when he hit a dump truck head-on.

To help keep his memory alive and support his family, the community lit their homes in his favorite color -- purple.

Grant swam for Ozaukee Aquatics, setting state records and qualifying for nationals with hopes for a future in the Olympics.

The head coach told CBS 58 he was passionate, determined but most of all, incredibly kind.
