Puppy thrown into Fond du Lac retention pond looking for forever home

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A puppy that was thrown into a retention pond in Fond du Lac, is looking for a forever home.

Witnesses reported seeing a 22-year-old man spinning the dogs around over his head before throwing them 10 to 20 feet out into the pond on Sept. 4. The man and a 20-year-old woman from Georgia were arrested for animal mistreatment.

The puppies were named Jack and Jill and received care at the Fond du Lac Humane Society. Jill was adopted but Jack still needs a home.

According to the Fond du Lac Humane Society, Jack has a tiny scar on his head from the ordeal but other than that he's a healthy pitbull mix.
