Present Music to stage 'Baroque Pop!' at Milwaukee Art Museum

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Present Music will present its next concert, "Baroque Pop!," inside the Milwaukee Art Museum’s Quadracci Pavilion on Sunday, May 25 at 7:30 p.m. The event will coincide with the museum’s The Brilliance of the Spanish World: El Greco, Velázquez, Zurbarán exhibition.
The program will feature Milwaukee-born composer Julia Holter and Los Angeles-based composer Tashi Wada. Holter is known for her 2015 album "Have You in My Wilderness."
The concert includes works by François Couperin, Pulitzer Prize-winner Caroline Shaw and Alex Temple.
Present Music will conclude the evening performing with Holter and Wada in a collaboration incorporating electronics, bagpipes, droning sounds and unconventional tuning, inspired by Wada's father, Japanese Fluxus artist Yoshi Wada.
