Pour for a Cure: Northwestern Mutual hosts lemonade stand to benefit foundation fighting childhood cancer

CBS 58

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- You don't often see a lemonade stand in downtown Milwaukee, but in the summertime, anything is possible.

Northwestern Mutual set up a stand on E. Kilbourn Avenue and called it "Pour for a Cure." It was a fundraiser to benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a national organization that raises money to fight childhood cancer.

The foundation is named for Alex Scott, a 4-year-old cancer patient who, with the help of her brother, set up a lemonade stand in 2000 to help other kids like her. That foundation has since raised over $300 million.
