MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A new era of sports betting has arrived at Potawatomi Casino Hotel.
The grand opening of their sportsbook took place Friday morning, May 3. The ceremony included a surprise musical performance.
The sportsbook features dozens of self-service kiosks for sports betters. There's also a VIP deck, first-class bar and food from the restaurant, a broadcast booth and 2,000-square-foot video wall.
Potawatomi officials call it a sports fan's paradise.
"As our teams get into the playoffs and they make big runs, it's huge for us. The excitement in the city and the people that come and watch and want to be a part of it, and you know, place their bets and enjoy it and watch it and win some money while they win," said Dominic Ortiz, Potawatomi Casino Hotel.
It was also the grand opening of their 13-table poker room.
The sportsbook and poker room were all part of the casino's $190 million renovations.
