Possible Plans for Shops of Grand Avenue

We're starting to get a better understanding of what the new owners plan to do with downtown Milwaukee's Shops of Grand Avenue.

A report in the Business Journal says those owners (who bought the largely vacant mall on Wisconsin Avenue back in December) plan to convert a substantial portion of it, possibly as much as a third, into office space.

They're also trying to attract a grocery store to the location.

A spokesman says adding office space could increase the demand for more shops, since there will be more employees in the building.
