Port Washington businesses gear up for Small Business Saturday
CBS 58 PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The annual Shop Hop event is returning to Port Washington this Saturday, Nov. 29.
Thursday is all about turkey and Saturday is all about shopping small.
In Port Washington, more than a dozen businesses around Franklin Street are offering sales, raffles and giveaways. Nine of them will even have swag bags for the first 50 shoppers.
Business owners say it’s one of their favorite days of the year as the community comes together to support local businesses.
Kelly Brown is the owner of Locally Inspired. Everything in the store is made by local Wisconsin creators and businesses.
“On small business Saturday you kind of get a two-for-one — you’re supporting us, Locally Inspired, as a small business, but anything we purchase in here is supporting another small business as well,” said Brown.
The event starts at 9 a.m. Saturday. You can find a map of the Shop Hop event by clicking here.
