Police: Woman Hangs Baby In Uptown, Flees & Injures Pedestrian

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A woman is in custody after she allegedly hanged a 1-year-old at a day care in Uptown and struck a pedestrian while fleeing Friday morning, according to police.

Police say the incident began at a day care on the 2700 block of Humboldt Avenue South.

There, a woman allegedly hanged a 1-year-old child. The child’s condition is unknown.

The woman then fled in a vehicle and struck pedestrian, who is in critical condition. Police say the woman was taken into custody. More updates are expected soon, so check back on WCCO.com and WCCO 4 News at Noon.
