Police: Woman arrested for OWI with two children, ages 8 and 3, and loaded handgun in vehicle

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 28-year-old woman was arrested for drunk driving with her two children in the car, as well as a loaded handgun on Friday, April 2. 

According to the Racine County Sheriff's Office, Lashelle Allison was allegedly pulled over after officials received a 911 call of a reckless driver traveling southbound on I41 from the Milwaukee County and Racine County line.

The complainant told police the vehicle was swerving all over the road. Officials say a deputy then observed the vehicle almost strike the median wall.

Allison was subsequently arrested for OWI. According to officials, Allison allegedly had her two children, ages eight and three, in the vehicle with her. A loaded handgun was also allegedly located on the passenger seat.

Officials say Allison also allegedly kicked a deputy and attempted to bite a nurse when she was taken to a hospital.

Officials say she was taken to the Racine County Jail where she is being held on the following charges: OWI (2nd offense), OWI with passenger under 16 (two counts), 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety (two counts), Battery to a law enforcement officer, resisting/obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon, armed while intoxicated.

According to the Racine County Sheriff's Office, Allison is being held with a bond of $17,950.
