Police: Suspect steals tequila worth nearly $300, bottles of champagne from Pick 'n Save

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Brookfield police are investigating after a suspect stole a nearly $300 bottle of tequila and three bottles of expensive champagne from a Pick 'n Save store.

Police said it it happened around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26 at the Pick 'n Save store near Capitol Drive and Calhoun Road. 

Officials say the suspect put one bottle of Dulce Vida Tequila -- worth $255 -- and three bottles of Veuve Clicquot champagne into a black backpack and fled eastbound on Capitol Drive in an older model black Honda Accord coupe with a spoiler bearing Wisconsin registration AHR-7457 -- which is not registered to the vehicle. 


Police describe the suspect as a black male, standing 5'9" tall, weighing 190 pounds, with short "scruffy" black hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a blue short-sleeved t-shirt, black pants and black shoes.
