Police searching for suspects who stole baskets of merchandise from Family Dollar, crashed into home while fleeing

BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Brown Deer Police are currently attempting to locate suspects who stole from a Family Dollar.

It happened around 8:13 p.m. on Wednesday.

Family Dollar reported that two suspicious customers filled several baskets with merchandise and were suspected of trying to run out without paying.

Upon officers arrival, the suspects fled the store with the stolen merchandise in a white Honda Accord.

A pursuit of the vehicle was initiated on Park Plaza Court in Milwaukee. The pursuit was terminated in the area of 91st and Calumet due to high speeds.

After the pursuit was terminated, an officer checked the area where the vehicle was last seen traveling.

The vehicle had lost control and struck a house near 91st and Rochelle.

The vehicle was found unoccupied with airbag deployment. Several shopping baskets full of stolen merchandise were recovered.

Witnesses on scene described the same suspects from Family Dollar, last seen running eastbound from the accident through the yards. 

Brown Deer Police and Milwaukee Police are investigating.
