Greendale High School band prepares for 2026 Rose Parade
WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- There was a large police presence outside Wauwatosa West High School Tuesday night, Dec. 19, during a boys basketball game versus Wauwatosa East.
Wauwatosa police say officers were called just before 8 p.m. after receiving reports of firearms being displayed during a fight.
Livestream video shows people quickly evacuating the school about halfway through the game.
Students we spoke with say a loudspeaker announcement went off telling everyone in the gymnasium to evacuate. Some students reported a fight in the hallway and a weapon being flashed, however police continue to investigate these reports.
Authorities say no shots were fired and there were no reported injuries.
Four students were arrested for disorderly conduct.
The teams were back on the court about 25 minutes after the evacuation.
