Police: Milwaukee man dead, woman injured after rear-ending semi-truck in Kenosha

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) - A Milwaukee man is dead and a woman is injured after rear-ending a semi-truck in Kenosha on Tuesday, Oct. 12.

Officials responded to the 7100 block of I-94 northbound for a serious vehicle crash shortly before 8 p.m. Initial reports indicated a Volvo was traveling northbound when it rear-ended a disabled semi-tractor trailer that was stopped in traffic in the northbound lanes, officials say. Detectives ay the Volvo sustained extensive front-end damage.

The driver of the Volvo is identified as 35-year-old Dr. Mirza Ahmad, a resident of Milwaukee.

The 27-year old passenger remains hospitalized at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

Interstate 94 northbound at STH 50 was shut down for several hours.
