Police: Marathon County child, 1, tests positive for meth

WESTON, Wis. (WSAW) -- The Everest Metro Police Department has recommended a 27-year-old man be charged with child neglect after a 1-year-old tested positive for methamphetamine.

An investigation began Nov. 8 after the child's mother suspected drug use had taken place with the child present.

According to a police report, during questioning about the incident, the man was found to be wearing a 'urine belt' to reportedly spoof a drug test.

The man's name has not been released.
