Police: Man Charged in Child Sex Abuse Case Shoots at Victim
DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Officials say a Pennsylvania man out on bail in a child sex abuse case fired six shots into his accuser's home before fleeing in a car that overturned, leading to his capture.
Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan says 63-year-old Douglas Kohen now faces charges of attempted murder and witness intimidation. Hogan says he shot through a window Sunday in the West Goshen home, where the accuser was with another child and her father.
Hogan says the shots went through the wall and into a second home. No one was injured.
Acting Downingtown Police Chief Howard Holland says Kohen was caught within hours.
Kohen had been charged in January with corruption of minors and other offenses related to abuse of a child.
His lawyer didn't immediately comment Monday.
