Police investigate rash of smashed car windows in four Milwaukee neighborhoods

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- Milwaukee police are investigating a recent rash of cases involving smashed car windows and vehicles damaged across four city neighborhoods.

On Monday, May 10, Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs called on the public for help in solving the cases. Police say it happened on Friday, May 6 into Sunday, May 7.

Officials say the perpetrators have caused damage to dozens of parked cars during overnight hours in the Brewer's Hill, Harambee, Halyard Park, and Riverwest neighborhoods.

Alderwoman Coggs represents all of these neighborhoods and she said the suspects need to be brought to justice.

“If you or a neighbor has any information or if you have surveillance footage that may help Milwaukee Police, please come forward and help solve this spree before it can continue,” she said.
