Pole Catches Fire Near 16th and Taylor in Racine; Multiple Customers Without Power

UPDATE:

There are currently 851 customers without power in Racine, as of 3 p.m.

We Energies confirms that a pole caught fire near 16th and Taylor this afternoon.

Customers told We Energies that a car accident may have caused the pole to catch fire but that is still under investigation.

There are four outages in the Racine area. 

There is currently no estimated time for when power will be restored.
