Pirates tally 11 hits in rout of Brewers
The Pirates torched Brewers rookie Zach Davies for six runs in the first four innings en route to a 10-2 blowout win at PNC Park in Pittsburgh Saturday night.
Davies threw two scoreless innings before caving in the third, as Pittsburgh put five runs across in the frame. Josh Harrison went 4-for-4 for the Pirates, who are nipping at the Cardinals' heels in the NL Central championship chase.
Ryan Braun had two hits, a run scored and a run driven in for Milwaukee. The two teams finish the series Sunday at 12:35 before the Brew Crew come back to Miller Park to face the Cardinals and the Reds next week.
