MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Pick 'n Save at 35th and North Avenue is closed, for now, shut down by the Milwaukee Health Department.

The department confirmed to us the closure is because of mice in the store.

We're told the store is temporarily closed to "clean, sanitize and inspect all areas."

In a statement, a Pick 'n Save spokesperson said, in full:

"Pick ‘n Save takes the health and safety of our customers and associates very seriously. As soon as we were made aware of an isolated incident in our store, we temporarily closed this location to thoroughly clean, sanitize and inspect all areas of the store. We appreciate the partnership of the City of Milwaukee Health Department and our teams as we address the incident.
We thank the community for their patience, and we look forward to reopening the store soon. In the meantime, our nearby locations include Pick ‘n Save Midtown (5700 W. Capitol Drive), Metro Market State Street (6950 W. State Street – with pharmacy services) or Pick ‘n Save Garfield (1100 E. Garfield Avenue – with pharmacy services). Online shopping for home delivery is also available through our website at picknsave.com.
The pharmacy is open for drive-thru service. For safety reasons, all drive-thru pharmacy patrons must be in a vehicle."
