Pewaukee Man Driving Nearly 100 MPH Lost Control of Car and Nearly Crashed Into House

A Pewaukee man nearly struck a house on Thanksgiving morning when he was driving nearly 100 mph on a frontage road near I-94.

According to Wisconsin’s Department of Transportation, Justin Murphy, has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Waukesha Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 5th offense.

A State Trooper was traveling on I94 when he observed a vehicle traveling on a frontage road parallel to the Trooper in excess of 100mph.

The vehicle lost control, crashed and nearly struck a nearby house.

State Troopers observed the driver, Murphy, covered in blood walking in close proximity to the crashed vehicle.

According to the State Trooper, the investigation was able to place Murphy as the driver of the crashed vehicle.

Murphy was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

State Troopers determined Murphy was impaired and placed Murphy under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 5th offense.

Murphy became combative at the hospital and had to be restrained by State Troopers.

A blood draw was obtained, charges will be referred to the Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office. Once medically cleared, Murphy will be held at the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Dept. No officers were injured.
