Individual transported to hospital after being hit by train in Racine

RACINE, Wis. (CBs 58) -- According to the Racine Police Department, an individual was hit by a train on Sunday, Oct. 29. 

According to Union Pacific, the incident took place around 11:30 a.m. near 13th and Wahington.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and was air lifted from there, police said. 

The train crew was not injured. 

At this time, the Racine Police Department is assisting Union Pacific with their investigation.
