A 39-year-old woman was struck and killed last night as she was standing in the roadway in the Town of Sherman in Sheboygan County. The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim as Nikki Jo Roos of the Village of Cedar Grove. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on County Road D about one mile north of Random Lake. Around 9:45 PM an east bound vehicle driven by a 48-year-old man from Random Lake struck the woman, who, according to the report, was standing in the road. The Sheriff’s Office reports she died at the scene. The vehicle driver was not injured. The accident is being investigated by the Sheboygan County’s Reconstruction Team. The name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of family members.
