3-alarm fire damages vacant Milwaukee warehouse
WAUWATOSA (CBS 58) -- A new pedestrian plaza is now open in Wauwatosa.
The public space is near 69th and North Avenue.
The goal is to make it easier for people to get to East Tosa businesses.
It also helps with parking in the area and improved storm drainage.
Wauwatosa's mayor calls it a nice area to relax.
"I could rest on the benches, I lounged, I read books. People would come and see this new space, they got all excited. We did selfies and that was early in May and that was the test to see how this would be recieved by the community," said Wauwatosa Mayor Kathy Ehley.
The plaza also supports urban forestry efforts with newly planted trees and landscaping.
