Pedestrian hit and killed by train in Kenosha identified

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities identified the woman who was fatally struck by a train in Kenosha on Sunday, Oct. 13. Officials say 46-year-old Sarah Fugette of Racine, died at the scene. 

According to METRA, the train struck the woman around 9:15 a.m. on Sunday. It happened on the UP-North Line between the Kenosha and Winthrop Harbor Stations.

Authorities learned Fugette was in Kenosha visiting family. 

The incident remains under investigation.
