Milwaukee County Parks Department hiring 80 lifeguards

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Parks Department is still looking to hire lifeguards for the upcoming summer season.

The County needs 80 additional lifeguards to fully staff swimming pools. 

Lifeguards must be at least 16 years old by July 2019, be in good physical condition, and attend training sessions. Lifeguard pay starts at $10.57/hour.

The final lifeguard training session starts Tuesday, April 30 at 7 p.m. at Pulaski Indoor Pool at 2701 S. 16th Street. There's no need to sign up ahead of time, candidates can simply attend the free training session at Pulaski Pool.

The full training session dates are:
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7-9 pm April 30, May 2, 7, 9, 14, 16
Test: Saturday, May 18 7 a.m.
