Parkland shooting victim's family advocates for 'common sense gun reform' at Milwaukee City Hall

MILWAUKEE (CBS58) -- Parents of Joaquin Oliver, a victim of the 2018 Parkland mass shooting, advocated at City Hall in Milwaukee today for what they call a "Common sense gun reform".

Joaquin's father, Manuel, says that his son was shot by an AR-15 five years ago. There have been 250,000 more-gun violence victims since.

"This is a story America will ignore us, fathers and families," said Oliver. "If we can reach them by going to them, using the school bus, and element iconic of future. I think it will create more awareness."

The Oliver's were honoring what would have been their son's 23d birthday.
