Packers will have Two More Days to Prepare than the Lions

The Green Bay Packers season now comes down to a Sunday night showdown in Motown.

Packers Coach Mike McCarthy talked today about Sunday's game, which has been changed from an afternoon contest to a prime time game.

The winner will be NFC North champs and the Packers will have one significant advantage going into that game.

They played Saturday, so they'll have eight days to prepare.

Meanwhile the Lions play the Cowboys tonight.

Coach McCarthy talked about that extra rest at the end of a long season.

"I think any time you get in the six day weeks and things like that this late in the season, it's obviously a toll and I just go off of what our own personal experience has been playing ten straight games coming out of the Thursday night game against Chicago.  That's a grind,” said McCarthy.

Sunday's division title showdown in Detroit kicks off at 7:30 pm.
