Packers sign Caleb Scott to the practice squad

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Green Bay Packers have signed Caleb Scott to the practice squad. The transaction was announced by General Manager Brian Gutekunst on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Officials say he will wear number 18 for the Packers. 

According to officials, Scott is a first-year player out of Vanderbilt University that originally signed with the Seattle Seahwaks as an undrafted free agent in 2018. He spent his rookie season on Seattle's practice squad. He was released by the team at the start of the 2019 training camp. 

In college, he played in 44 games with 18 starts for the Commodores, hauling in 67 passes for 1,011 yards and three touchdowns in four seasons.
