Packers trade Trevor Davis to Raiders, promote TE Evan Baylis to active roster

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Packers have traded wide receiver Trevor Davis to the Raiders for a future draft pick, the team announced Thursday.

Davis hasn't made much of an impact as a receiver since Green Bay drafted him in the 5th round three years ago, but he had established himself as their primary kick and punt return specialist.

Undrafted rookie Darrius Shepherd and newly claimed defensive back Tremon Smith are expected to take over the return duties.

Additionally, the team is activating tight end Evan Baylis from the practice squad to the active roster. Baylis has been with the Packers' practice squad since the last week of the 2018 season. He will wear No. 88 for the Packers.

To replace Baylis on the practice squad, the Packers signed WR Keon Hatcher, a second-year player out of Arkansas. He spent time on the Packers' practice squad in 2018. He will wear No. 84 for the Packers.
