MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Kids in Milwaukee are getting into the Christmas spirit by ditching red and white for green and gold. That's because Packers offensive lineman Rasheed Walker paid a visit to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee.

The kids had dinner Monday night, met with their mentors, and got to meet Walker. He took pictures with them and gave out his autograph.

Organizers at Big Brothers Big Sisters say they always need more mentors to help out kids, and Walker's visit helps raise awareness, encouraging more people to help out.

"I love doing stuff like this," Walker said. "Hanging out with you guys at Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Definitely in the Christmas spirit. So I just wanted to show my presence, and you know, give the kids a little motivation and spend some time with the kids here."

Besides working with Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Walker has his own nonprofit called Youth is the Future, aimed at supporting kids through mentorship, donated school supplies, and opportunities to live out the NFL experience with Walker.
