Packers long-snapper Goode to miss rest of season

Packers long-snapper Brett Goode will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, forcing the Packers to place Goode on injured reserve and to sign free agent Rick Lovato.

Goode had one of the Packers' most impressive streaks of games played, taking part in 137 straight contests including postseason games with Green Bay. He played in all 14 of this season's regular season games.

Lovato, signed to take Goode's spot as the team's long snapper, is a product of Old Dominion who spent the summer with the Bears before being released by Chicago at the end of August.
