Packers ink WR Janis, release CB Nixon

The Green Bay Packers have signed wide receiver Jeff Janis, the team announced Wednesday.
Janis is the Packers' seventh-round draft choice from Saginaw Valley State, a Division II school in Michigan. He is one of three receivers the Packers drafted in the 2014 NFL draft.
The team also announced the release of cornerback and special teams player James Nixon.
