Packers gear up for season opener against Lions -- catch the game on CBS 58🏈
GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Green Bay Packers are ready to kick off the season Sunday, Sept. 7, right here on CBS 58!
The Packers finished third in the NFC North, with Lions in first. With that Green Bay wants to make a statement right off the bat and everyone on the 53-man roster practiced the last two days - creating a good start.
But eyes are going to be on Micah Parsons.
Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur says the defensive end has looked limited but has done a nice job practicing all week. He showed off some of his freakish skills with his explosiveness, so Parsons seems good to go.
"I'm still ramping up," said Parsons. "It's a process of getting ready for football. Being out six months, obviously through the tightness and soreness. I just gotta put it in faith this great training staff and the coaches. They've been slowly getting me in the plays and getting me things that I need."
"If we decide to give me the green light or not but it's completely up to the coaches thought," he said.
Just a reminder that you can only catch the first game of the season on CBS 58.
Kickoff is set for 3:25 p.m. at Lambeau Field as the Pack takes on the Lions in week one.
It all starts at 11 a.m. with NFL Today live from Lambeau Field.
